WWE announced that professional wrestler Sid Eudy, known in the ring as Sid Vicious, will be inducted into the Hall of Fame's Legacy wing as part of the class of 2026.
The class includes former WWE executive Stephanie McMahon, wrestler AJ Styles, tag team Demolition and former NBA player Dennis Rodman.[1]
Eudy, who died on July 26, 2024, at age 63 from cancer, competed under multiple ring names including Sid, Sycho Sid, Sid Justice, Sid Vicious and Lord Humongous.[2][3]
He performed for the World Wrestling Federation (now WWE), World Championship Wrestling (WCW), Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) and independent promotions.[3]
Eudy was a two-time WWF Champion (1996, 1997), two-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion (1992, 2000) and one-time WCW United States Champion (2000).[3]
He main-evented WrestleMania VIII against Hulk Hogan in 1992 and WrestleMania 13 against The Undertaker in 1997.[3]
In 2001, Eudy suffered a severe leg injury during a WCW fireworks stunt, limiting his subsequent in-ring appearances; he made a one-off WWE return on Monday Night Raw in 2012.[3]
WWE Chief Content Officer Paul Levesque, known as Triple H, announced the induction on X, describing Eudy as a multi-time WWE and WCW champion and two-time WrestleMania main eventer.[1]
WWE stated: "Known as ‘The Master and Ruler of the World’, Sid’s reputation as one of the toughest and most visually captivating Superstars cemented his legacy in WWE."[1]
